Yesterday is the 2nd song in what I personally call the Progression Series (along with Probably and Hopeful). The series is called as such because a) all songs in the series have the same chord progression, and b) it has a seasonal theme, and seasons progress through the year, something like that ✨

This song was my most viewed, with the original upload reaching almost 900+ views before I went and deleted my channel. RIP.

(Though I recall it reaching 1000+ views, but the Vocaloid Lyrics Wikia is probably more reliable at this point!)

It's also somehow my most popular during the time, with a cover done by PaintedCZ and a remix by Anh Duy! Go listen to them! they became more popular than my original though so oof

Yesterday has also been my debut song of sorts to the UTAU community. With my first few original songs, I mostly interacted through YouTube comments. By the time this song was released, I've joined a Skype group made by one of my favorite producers and met new friends there! They were the ones who assisted me on how English UTAU banks work (which at the time was still pretty new and evolving), and it ended up with me having a fairly easy time with Teto's. So I have some emotional attachment to this song.

I'd show the progress of how this song came to be, but to be honest, the WIP was basically the same as the final product 😆 This was done within a month and was the fastest song I made, until Remnants beat it with its 2 week deadline, but that's a story better told for its own entry 😌
