ABOUT MAYA

Maya transferred to Sazanka during 4th Grade, when her parents were assigned to work at a town in the Yokohama port. She met Jamie and Ren during this time, and have been best friends since.

Now in 8th Grade, Maya plans to have "the most exciting year ever!!!" with her two friends, with the assumption that all three of them might go to separate schools the next year.

However, the trio's plans were thrown for a loop when they, along with 8 more students, accidentally stumble upon the "Other Side," during which she awakens as the Emissary of Connections after she encounters an unnamed Wanderer.

As Connections, she is also the successor of the First Witness.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Here's a fun fact for you guys!

Maya was, along with most of the characters in this story, were randomly made by me and my friends during 7th Grade. We made an entire class of 30 students, then randomly selected from them to form the main group of this story. Maya became one of the choices, and she was given the role of the "quirky, hyperactive class president"!

I don't exactly remember when I started having her as the main protagonist though... 🤔
