Production of this song started at around July 2019, when Amairu suggested that the both of us should cover a song as a birthday gift to one another (our birthdays were a few days apart). I then suggested to make ourselves our own song instead, to make it feel more personalized. She agreed, and so here's the final product of that!

While I can't exactly recall what the experience was making this song (which I only remember as something along the lines of "pain. would give ourselves a longer timeframe if i had the chance lmao"), I still remember the time this song was uploaded. It was before the pandemic happened, and I was moving in to a dorm for the first time in my life. It was also my birthday around the time, and while I was used to not celebrating it with my family, it was the first time that I was completely alone on that day.

It wasn't the first time waiting for the upload of something me and my friends have done. However, this was the first time that it was something me and Amairu have done from scratch, where everything was done by our hands. It was an achievement in itself, and there's probably nothing in the world that could replicate how I felt during that day. At least until we finally met up in real life, but that's a story for another time 🥰

Maybe someday, we'd be able to make a better version of this song, or maybe another new one. Who knows what the future may bring? But at least for now, I know that I have her support, and I'll happily do the same for her!
